Rosseau is one of the more familiar faces in local and regional
hockey. She is president of the Trinidad and Tobago Hockey Board
(TTHB) and a vice president with the Pan American Hockey
Federation. She was elected as TTHB president in 2002 and during
her tenure, which is still active, the TTHB have won the First
Citizens Sport Foundation Award for Best Administration twice.
She is also a hockey technical official with the Pan American
Hockey Federation and the Federation of International Hockey (FIH)
and has worked on the technical table at tournaments in Mexico,
Spain, Argentina and Canada.
As much as she loves the administrative role, her heart still
finds solace on the field. She is a playing member of Malvern
Hockey Club and is addicted to the skills and thrills of the
game just as her subjects.
Nevertheless, she admits that administration requires a
slightly different approach to field play. "Characteristically,
I can't leave problems unsolved. People may perceive it as
micro-managing, but I simply can't see tasks to be completed and
just leave them undone. I am solution-driven", stresses Rosseau.
Quizzed regarding her method of dealing with controversy within
the sporting arena she says, "In light of any impasse there
should always be a forum to address complaints and deal with
conflict. This strategy is necessary for the efficient running
of any sporting discipline, be it cricket, hockey or netball.."
